Enrobage, isolant extérieur
Le vêtement est une parure, c’est aussi une protection. La robe oscille entre ces deux fonctions. C’est aussi vrai pour une maison. Sa façade est ce qu’on voit, mais elle doit aussi parachever sa protection contre les intempéries: la pluie, la neige, le froid et - ne l’oublions pas en Provence, le chaud et le vent.
C’est l’objectif du printemps 2009. Mais nous commencerons par un point particulier, réalisé en automne 2008: l’isolation de l’étage technique (page Racines), étage à moitié enterré et construit en «traditionnel». Rappelez-vous, les murs de l’étage supérieur débordent de ceux de cet étage technique (épaisseurs respectives: 35 cm contre 20 cm).
Simultanément se fera la fermeture de la maison (page suivante).
Clothing, external insulation
Clothes are not only aimed at enhancing your look: they also protect you. The coating of a house also plays a double role: aesthetic, and insulating: protecting it against rain, snow, cold, and - not to be forgotten in Provence: heath, and wind.
Coating was the objective of the spring 2009. But let us start with a peculiar feature, realized in the fall of 2008 : the insulation of the basement, half underground and built with traditional materials (see page «Roots»). Remember, the walls of the upper level are thicker than those of the basement (35 cm vs 20 cm).
At the same time, the doors, windows and shutters will be placed (next page).
